SECPAY APPOINTS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS TO MEET CHALLENGES OF 2006

26 June 2006 - The UK’s leading independent internet payment service provider, SECPay, today announced two high-profile appointments to its board. The announcement comes at a time when the company has experienced a very successful period of growth and new business wins.

In 2005 SECPay enjoyed significant Client wins across a range of sectors including retail goods and services, charities and public and local government services. In order to support this and facilitate further growth the company has made two strategic board appointments.

Joining the SECPay board as Non-Executive Directors are Charles Newby and Professor Garry Hunt.

Charles Newby BSc(Hons) MBA is managing director of Mercuri International (UK) Ltd. The company, founded almost 50 years ago, is the largest sales performance and training consultancy in Europe. Newby’s professional background has been in sales and consulting at Director and Manager level at KPMG, Shell and Glaxo Smithkline.

Professor Garry Hunt is an international business adviser and facilitator and has worked with leading public, private & academic sector organisations throughout the world, including EDS, LogicaCMG and PA. Originally an international scientist and a member of NASA (JPL/CalTech), from whom he holds four awards for his research, Garry Hunt has also held many appointments in leading UK and US Universities. He is now Managing Partner of Elbury Enterprises, California, Chairman of the Advisory Board Technology, Communications, Media and Entertainment of Ernst & Young and holds a number of professorships at leading UK & US business schools. In 1991 Garry was made a Freeman of the City of London, in 2002 he received a Queen’s Golden Jubilee award for his community activities and in 2005 the status of a Chartered Scientist.

Speaking of the new appointments, Chris Dipple, Chief Technology Officer at SECPay, commented:

“We enjoyed a very buoyant 2005 and the outlook for 2006 is equally as positive. It therefore felt very much like the right time to invest in strengthening what is already a very strong Management Board. We are delighted to have Professor Hunt and Charles Newby working with SECPay.”
