"Finally, we have found an e-commerce business who actually listens and more importantly, responds positively to the needs of their clients. Secpay had us running live almost instantly - and their system allows us to integrate simply and seamlessly. This is a system we really trust, and love!" a culmination of comments from the team. We are a web development company specialising in online shopping, so a reliable secure host plays a vital role in our business. We began using SECPay (our third attempt at finding a reliable secure host) in January 1999, and have nothing but the highest praise for them. From the beginning, we were impressed by the friendly, efficient and knowledgeable manner of their dealings with us. Their online services are extremely reliable and of the highest quality. Last but not least, their technical support staff are superb, and have never failed to address the few problems we've had the instant they crop up. To sum up, SECPay give us an invaluable, efficient and highly personal service, and we would not hesitate to recommend them to any company wishing to enter the ever-growing world of e-commerce. I wish to compliment you, and you company, for all the help and attention you provided me at a critical stage in the development of my internet business "Speedbid". As a fully automated collector's internet auction house, it was essential for Speedbid to have the ability to accept card transactions on line. I believe your representations to Barclays Merchant Services assisted greatly in making that a possibility. Furthermore, your continued support is most appreciated, Best Wishes Ray Brough |

As a record company, when Expression Records decided to try selling CDs on the Web, we knew we needed to work with a company that was flexible, cost-effective and friendly. We investigated most of the leading players in the secure server market and found no-one like this - until we hit on Secpay. Not only are their charges excellent but, just as important, they provide a true 'value added' service. First, they helped us get our merchant's account with Barclays. Then they gave good technical advice on setting up our on-line shopping system. We've been able to contact them at all times of day whenever we've had a query or a problem. They call us to talk about issues relating to our site and the business. And they've given us plenty of advice on Web matters, some of it a million miles away from the business of just providing a secure server. At Expression Records we couldn't be happier. In Secpay we have a partner who has made selling on the Internet easy, trouble free and profitable. We expect to be working with them for a long time to come. Bill MacCormick |

I am one of the priveleged
ones who managed to get Barclays Merchant Services in the days when they
sent round nice account managers. I don't think they do that anymore -
they just try and say 'no' as early as possible in the proceedings, so
I understand. Since I find having BMS so wonderful in my coaching practice
- no chasing cheques - no bad debt etc - I thought I'd pursue this matter
further for you. Not only do I take credit cards for my coaching but I
also take credit cards from my website. I use a delightful company called
SecPay to provide 'firewalls' (whatever they are) - a secure site through
which the customer can enter their credit card number and feel secure.
I never even get to know what their credit card number is through that
route. Anyway I phoned Mark Feingold at SecPay to ask him if there's anything
he can do to help 150 eager coaches who are sure in the future to want
his services for their future websites! He said that there's little he
can do directly but he can advise on how to get passed the first hurdle
- the clerk who asks 'have you been in business 2 years' who then says
'sorry mate' when you don't pass that test. The other hurdle is 'do you
work from home'. Mark has sent me his guidelines and these are attached.
He did say that even if they say that you don't qualify you should say
that you want an application form anyway. He also said that there's an
appeal procedure and of 20 of his customers who have been turned down
after submitting their first application form, only 2 were refused after
appeal. He also said that a proper business plan is essential for a successful
application. Anyway if anyone wants to speak to Mark he's on 01732 300200
in Tonbridge Kent. As I said, his business is helping Merchants get onto
e-commerce once they have their Merchant services set up. I hope this is of
some help. Warmly Judy (Citron) |
